The average breast reduction, breast lift, or any breast surgery can take two to four hours to complete. Your surgeon may be able to give you an estimate of how long your particular procedure will take.
On average, you can expect your recovery to take two to six weeks. If you have a sedentary job, you’ll likely be cleared to return to work within just a week; for a very active job, you’ll need a respite of two weeks.
Most women want to go bra shopping soon after breast augmentation, plastic surgeons generally recommend waiting 4 to 6 weeks before wearing a traditional bra. Breasts remain swollen for a while after augmentation surgery, and the final size and shape is not achieved for several months.
