Professional Background
Recognized for her contribution to the field, Dr. Armstrong has received multiple awards including Mentor Best Clinical Paper, Outstanding Paper Award (WCRI), and Outstanding Paper Presentation (American Society of Plastic Surgery). Her research has been successfully published in high-impact journals including CMAJ, JAMA Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Journal.
She serves as a peer-reviewer for multiple journals including CMAJ, Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, and the Journal of Medical Internet Research. She has also peer-reviewed grants through the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation committee.
Educational Background
Dr. Armstrong earned her Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University and received her medical and residency education in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic training surgery from the University of Toronto. During her residency training she completed a Master of Science in Health Services Research, specializing in Health Economics at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation.
