Q&A with Katey
After I complete my treatment series, do I ever have to do additional treatments?
With most aesthetic treatments, some degree of maintenance is required. As we continue aging + exposing ourselves to the environment, collagen breaks down and more fine lines/pigment can resurface. So to get the most out of your initial investment, a personalized maintenance program is recommended.
Do I really need to wear SPF in the winter?
Yes! UV damage happens all year round. Protecting your skin from sun damage is the easiest way to avoid unwanted pigmentation + signs of premature aging. Not to mention skin cancer!
When is the best time to start laser hair removal?
Laser hair reduction is a great treatment for those who struggle with unwanted facial/body hair, or ingrown hairs. However, it does take multiple sessions, and it cannot be performed on tanned or sun-exposed skin. For best results, start in the Fall so you can stick to the appropriate treatment schedule, and avoid sun exposure on the treatment area. Also, keep in mind, Laser hair removal does not treat blonde or gray hair, so you’re your treatment before grays are present.
I’ve been diligent with exercise & diet, but still have stubborn fat. What treatment is best to address this?
When it comes to stubborn fat, there are many different treatment options available, so recommendations are typically made on an individual basis depending on the patient’s desired outcome & health history. We all have different areas of concern and goals, so it’s always best to start with a personalized consultation with your service provider to determine what would be most beneficial.
