The leader in hormonal health medicine

The Institute for Hormonal Health is the premier integrative medical clinic in Canada specializing in the treatment of health issues that are hormonal in origin. The Institute utilizes state-of-the-art technology and an unparalleled team of medical professionals to provide the highest level of care.

Evidence-based medicine with naturopathic and nutritional support.

The Institute for Hormonal Health has created a program that integrates the evidence-based science of both Western medicine and naturopathic medicine, and anchored them on a foundation of nutritional science. This integrative approach enables the IHH team to treat the root causes of a hormonal issue, and not just the symptoms.

Dr. Lara Spector, Hons BSC, ND is a compassionate Naturopathic Doctor with a focus on motivating and empowering her patients to create balance in all aspects of their health.

She is passionate about helping people achieve wellness by addressing the root cause of their imbalance, blending modern, scientific knowledge with natural forms of medicine.

It is important to Lara that her patients feel heard and understood and this informs every aspect of their treatment. She has a special interest in family medicine, and is also passionate about women’s health, hormones, fertility, digestive disorders, skin disease and mental/emotional imbalance.

She uses evidence-based therapies to help her patients start feeling their best, including: IV therapy, botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, acupuncture, bio-identical hormone therapy, homeopathy and craniosacral therapy.

Dr. Lara received an Honours Bachelors of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto and subsequently completed her four-year naturopathic medical studies at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in British Columbia. She completed clinical internships at the Boucher Naturopathic Clinic, the Family Naturopathic Clinic and Positive Living BC. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and is licensed with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).

Dr. Lara is also an instructor at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Toronto. In her spare time she enjoys running, hiking, practicing yoga and spending time with her friends and family.
