Procedure and Recovery
During your Sculptra session, a fine needle is used to inject the product deep into the skin where volume loss has occurred. Sculptra’s main ingredient, poly-L-lactic acid, acts as a collagen stimulator, gradually restoring the fullness of your face. The procedure is quick and, aside from a little discomfort from the injections, relatively painless.
Recovery is minimal, allowing you to return to your daily activities immediately. You may experience slight swelling or bruising at the injection sites, but these side effects typically resolve within a few days.
While Sculptra is considered safe, there are potential risks like minor bruising, swelling, and, in rare cases, small bumps under the skin that may or may not be visible and typically resolve on their own.
