Procedure and Recovery
During PRP treatments, , a small amount of blood is drawn from your arm. This blood is then spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets, creating a concentrated plasma. This plasma is rich in growth factors and bioactive proteins essential for hair growth and scalp health. The concentrated PRP is then carefully injected into the areas of your scalp where hair thinning has occurred. The procedure is quick, with minimal discomfort, and requires no sedation or significant recovery time.
There is minimal recovery required following a PRP Hair Treatment. Patients can return to daily activities immediately. Some might experience mild swelling or redness at the injection sites, which typically resolves within a few hours. It is advised to avoid washing your hair or engaging in heavy physical activity for at least 48 hours to allow the treatment area to stabilize.
