Procedure and Recovery
During the procedure, a medical-grade blade is used to gently exfoliate the skin’s surface. Your GraceMed practitioner performs careful strokes at a 45-degree angle to shed the outermost layers of the skin, removing dead skin cells and vellus hair.
Recovery from Dermaplaning is minimal. Clients may experience slight redness immediately following the procedure, which typically subsides within a few hours. Post-treatment, the skin is particularly receptive to skincare treatments, making it an excellent precursor to facials and serums.
Complications are rare with Dermaplaning, though sensitivity to the sun may be increased post-procedure. It’s recommended to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily and limit sun exposure.
