Q & A with Lisa
What is dermal filler?
Dermal fillers are designed to restore a more youthful appearance by restoring lost volume, smoothing out lines and wrinkles, and addressing additional signs of facial aging. Dermal fillers are made with synthetic hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance that also occurs naturally in the body and contributes to healthy, supple skin and the production of collagen. Dermal Fillers are available in all of our locations.

What is Botox®?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is the #1 selling treatment of its kind*:
- It’s the first and only treatment FDA-approved to temporarily make moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines look better in adults
- Treatment requires minimal downtime. You can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave your office
- You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines. Full results in 2 weeks after your treatment.
- BOTOX® delivers predictable, subtle results, so you look like you, only with less noticeable facial lines
How does BOTOX® work?
BOTOX® Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines — the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, smiling and raising the eyebrows over the years. Your GraceMed King West Toronto specialist will inject these muscles with BOTOX® Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of the frown lines between your brows, your crow’s feet lines and your forehead lines.
What is the cost of BOTOX® injections?
The amount of BOTOX® units needed to treat each desired area will vary depending on the patient’s aesthetic goals. You will receive a quote of the cost of your BOTOX® treatment during a complimentary consultation at GraceMed King West Toronto.
When should I start getting BOTOX®?
There is no right or wrong age of patients who receive BOTOX® treatments. You should consult with a medical professional who performs BOTOX® treatments to discuss if you are an appropriate candidate for treatment. GraceMed King West Toronto offers complimentary consultations for patients who are interested in learning more about injectable treatments. Many individuals start BOTOX® treatments when they first notice fine lines and wrinkles as a preventative measure to prevent wrinkles from worsening.
